hello, i’m bob ross

and i’d like to welcome you

first of all, let me take just a moment to thank you, for allowing me back into your homes

if this is your first time with us, let me extend a personal invitation for you to drag out your oil paints

and paint along with us each week

let’s go over to the canvas here and let’s get started

i believe

i believe

everyday’s a good day when you paint

i believe

i believe

it will bring  a lot of good thoughts, to your heart

(x2)

let’s build a happy little cloud

let’s build some happy little trees

there are no limits here

you start off by believing here

you can almost paint with anything

all you have to do is practice

there are no limits here

you start out by believing here

this is your world

you’re the creator

find freedom on this canvas

believe that you can do it

cause you can do it

give it a little touch

give it a little push

make love to the canvas

make love to the canvas

give it a little touch

give it a little push

caress it, very gently

grab it

lift it

fluff it

you can go on, and on, and on, and on…

back and forth, b-b-back and forth back and forth

layer after layer after layer

let’s build a happy little cloud

let’s build some happy little trees

there are no limits here

you start off, by believing here

this is your world

you’re the creator

find freedom on this canvas

believe that you can do it

cause you can do it

relax, let if flow

think like water

think like water

relax, let if flow

you can go on and on and on

we don’t make mistakes

we just have happy accidents

you can do anything that you wanna do

total power, sing along

have a good time

this is your world

you’re the creator

find freedom on this canvas

believe that you can do it

cause you can do it

i believe

i believe

everyday’s a good day when you paint

i believe

i believe

it will bring  a lot of good thoughts, to your heart

(x2)

Don’t wanna keep on sharing my bed,
With someone that I have to love less and less

Every time I try to make you smile

You say that I’m being a child

Well I tried my best

Say that I need therapy,
Well my darling so do you

Don’t need for you to tell me

What is wrong in all I say or do

Concrete Wall” by Zee Avi
as heard on Gossip Girl

And the whosit and the whatsit
And the stories of kings
And the needle and the thread of the thing
And the ladder at the scene
And the cutting off at the knees
In a little while I see that I love the way you came on
I love the way you came on to me

And the where is and the there is
And the start of the fling
But the riot breaks the thread of thing
And the lenses ain’t clean
We’ll need another tv screen
In a little while I see but I love the way you came on
I love the way you came on
I love the way you came on
I love the way you came on to me

It weighs out, it weighs out..
And you know I love you
I love you

The Thread of The Thing” by Fay Wolf

I feel so blessed to have been a part of this project!

:

So excited for my buds the Black Cab Sessions new six-part documentary series BLACK CAB SESSIONS USA! Here’s the brand-spanking new trailer for the project that includes performances in the cab with Jack White, The Roots and many, many more as they roam around America and make connections between music + place.

This is an important project made by some of the most passionate music fans I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting… indeed, I don’t think it’s understating it to say that I believe this documentary will be a watershed moment in the history of independent music blogging.

I heard that you’re settled down
That you found a girl
And you’re married now

I heard that your dreams came true
Guess she gave you things
I didn’t give to you

Old friend
Why are you so shy?
Ain’t like you to hold back
Or hide from the light

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited
But I couldn’t stay away, I couldn’t fight it
I had hoped you’d see my face and that you’d be reminded
That for me it isn’t over

Never mind
I’ll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
“Don’t forget me,” I begged
“I’ll remember,” you said
“Sometimes it lasts in love
But sometimes it hurts instead.”
Sometimes it lasts in love
But sometimes it hurts instead

You know how the time flies
Only yesterday,
It was the time of our lives
We were born and raised
In a summer haze
Bound by the surprise
Of our glory days

Nothing compares
No worries or cares
Regrets and mistakes
They are memories made
Who would have known
How bittersweet this would taste?

Never mind
I’ll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you too
“Don’t forget me,” I begged
“I’ll remember,” you said
“Sometimes it lasts in love
But sometimes it hurts instead”

Someone Like You” by Adele

But I’ll tell you right now you better watch your back,
You can talk dirty ‘till your tongue turns black,
If you’re throwing it at me I’m gonna throw it right back at you

Bad Luck” by Shovels & Rope
via Slow Records Studios

Come on skinny love what happened here
Suckle on the hope in lite brassiere
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Sullen load is full; so slow on the split

I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced
I told you to be kind
Now all your love is wasted
Then who the hell was I?
Now I’m breaking at the britches
And at the end of all your lines

Who will love you?
Who will fight?
Who will fall far behind?

Skinny Love” by Bon Iver

I consume all the sadness
That you throw over me
And I spin like a compass
That don’t know where you be

I don’t know
I don’t know
I don’t know

Look around at who you have tonight
Look around your little soul
I will stay to keep you warm, girl
I’m not here to bring you down

absolutely LOVE this video

It’s Okay,
I don’t even cry
All I think about is a memory
And the dream when you kiss my arm
As I look away, don’t hear what I say

That maybe when I die
I get to be a car
Driving in the night
Lighting up the dark
Something in your voice
Sparks a little hope
I’ll wait up for that noise
Your voice become my home

One way road, don’t care what I find
A little thunder’s good, I thought maybe you would
But it’s okay, we all feel left out
Sometimes growing up, it can get you down.

I give you some thing that no one’s goina give you
My sleepin’ skin and my heart deep down in you
I’ll never tell you, but you’re my little scar
Goodbyes are hard and they’re hard and they’re hard

It’s Okay” by Land of Talk

If I represent the one that did this to you
Then can away the part that represents the thing that scarred you
I say, Get up, stand up, get up, stand up, get on it
Yes sir, I am no longer who you thought this one would be

We end up around the mountain that I climb to lose you
I said, I said give me the business that business could work through,
I say, Ask me but all my wisdom departed
Tell me but all my wisdom departed
But help please at least answer me this,
Answer me, answer me

What’s the business, yeah
Don’t take my life away
Don’t take my life away

Bizness” by tUnE-yArDs

There were moments of dreams I was offered to save
I live less like a workhorse, more like a slave
I thought that one quick moment that was noble or brave
Would be worth the most of my life.

So I pointed my fingers, and shout a few quotes I knew
As if something that’s written should be taken as true
But every path I have taken and conclusion I drew
Would put truth back under the knife.

And now the only piece of advice that continues to help:
Is anyone that’s making anything new only breaks something else.

When my time comes,
Ohhhhh, oh oh oh
When my times comes,
Ohhhhh, oh oh oh

So I took what I wanted and put it out of my reach
I wanted to pay for my successes with all my defeats,
And if heaven was all that was promised to me
Why don’t I pray for death?
And now it seems like the unraveling has started too soon,
Now I’m sleeping in hallways and I’m drinking perfume
And I’m speaking to mirrors and I’m howling at moons
While the worst and the worst that it gets.

Oh you can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes you can stare into the abyss, but it’s staring right back.

When My Time Comes” by Dawes
New album “Nothing Is Wrong” out June 7, 2011!

Meet me darlin’, won’t you?
I’ve been waiting for you
At my lonesome white table
Ready, willing, and able

Torn in two
Beaten and scarred
I’ll give you my love but not my heart
Tattered and worn
Battered and bruised
I’ll give you my love but it won’t be true

Someday darlin’ maybe
You could be my baby
Until then I’ll be waitin’
At my lonesome white table

Torn in two
Beaten and scarred
I’ll give you my love but not my heart
Tattered and worn
Battered and bruised
I’ll give you my love but it won’t be true

White Table” by Delta Spirit

Memories are all I have
That’s what makes it so sad

It’s such a crying shame
When old friends become estranged

You broke my heart
Was of my guard
You kicked me out
You blackened my name, you blackened my name

Oh but I have turned and gone my way
The snow has gone, as have those days
I’m on the road less traveled by
I feel at home on the path unknown, on the path unknown

Navigate through your pain
Or else you’ll remain the same

Will you flee or will you fight?
Will you take your chances tonight?

Flee or Fight” by Matrimony

-Flee or Fight by Matrimony

My little sister gave me this song, and I absolutely love the lyrics… I have turned & gone my way indeed - and I’ve never felt more at home, than on this path unknown. I’m eternally grateful for everything & everyone that got me here - the good, the bad, the laughter, the tears - all of it. Looking back, there is not one thing that I would change. So, thank you (you know who you are).

Love you Izzy :)

Cecilia, you’re breaking my heart
You’re shaking my confidence daily
Oh, Cecilia, I’m down on my knees
I’m begging you please to come home
Come on home

Making love in the afternoon with Cecilia
Up in my bedroom (making love)
I got up to wash my face
When I come back to bed
Someone’s taken my place

Cecilia, you’re breaking my heart
You’re shaking my confidence daily
Oh, Cecilia, I’m down on my knees
I’m begging you please to come home
Come on home

Jubilation, she loves me again,
I fall on the floor and I’m laughing,
Jubilation, she loves me again,
I fall on the floor and I’m laughing
